Technically necessary connection data

When you visit this website, technically necessary connection data is processed. This includes your IP address, the requested address, and the time of the request. Your browser may also transmit HTTP headers such as its identifier, language, and referrer. We process this data solely to deliver the requested page to your device securely and reliably.

Legal basis
Article 6(1)(f) GDPR
Legitimate interest
Secure, reliable, and abuse-resistant delivery of this website
Retention
Normally only for the connection and short technical network timeouts; exceptionally, diagnostic data for no more than seven days
No routine access logs

The web and relay systems administered by 420nm do not permanently record visitor-specific access logs. Connection data remains only temporarily in memory and technical connection state and is discarded when that state ends.

Logging may be enabled temporarily, limited to the necessary fields, only when a specific technical fault must be investigated. Any such diagnostic data is access-restricted and deleted when the investigation ends, and no later than seven days after collection.

Company-operated server, encrypted relay

The website is delivered from a system operated by 420nm. A virtual server with a public IP address is used solely as a network relay. Its connection to the origin server uses an encrypted tunnel. The relay hosts no website application, database, visitor analytics, or visitor history.

Technical infrastructure providers may process connection data while supplying their systems. We provide them with no data for advertising or analytics, and 420nm receives no visitor statistics from the relay.

No tracking and no third-party embeds

420nm.net sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser's local storage. We use no audience measurement, fingerprinting, advertising networks, external fonts, maps, or social media embeds. All files required to display the site are loaded directly from 420nm.net.

External product websites are contacted only if you actively follow their links. From that point, the respective external provider is responsible for processing on its website.

When you send us an email

If you contact us by email, we process your sender address, message content, attachments, and associated technical metadata to handle your enquiry. For enquiries concerning a potential or existing contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other business enquiries, it is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in handling business communication.

We erase enquiries with no contractual connection no later than six months after completing our response. If correspondence becomes a contractual or business record, we retain it for the applicable statutory period. Continued processing is then based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR and ends when that period expires.

Access, rectification, and your other rights

Subject to the relevant legal conditions, you have the right to:

  • access personal data we process about you,
  • rectification of inaccurate data,
  • erasure or restriction of processing,
  • data portability, and
  • object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

To exercise your rights, email hello@420nm.net. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

What is technically required

Processing your IP address and necessary connection data is technically required to display this website. The website cannot be delivered without it. No other legal or contractual requirement to provide personal data applies merely because you visit. Information sent by email is voluntary, although we may be unable to handle an enquiry without the information it requires.

Data protection authority

You have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for businesses established in Baden-Württemberg is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg (LfDI BW):
